Admit it, you’re most likely going to miss having your kid around.
You’re probably already worrying if they will have enough toothpaste, food and tons of other stuff while you are gone.
A care package is a great way to help your college student out and there are so many ways to do so. Since you’ve probably made sure that your son or daughter is all stocked up on things they need for the beginning of the semester, the besxt time to give them a care package is during midterms and right before finals.
October, November, March, and April are all pretty good months to send a parcel their way. All you need is a basket and some survival essentials. If you live too far away, then a cardboard box will suffice as well.
Many college students have a hard time asking their parents for help and I’ve had a good number of friends say that they don’t always have enough to eat at school. It could be a matter of pride, but many students are determined to assert their independence.
The point is, even if your son or daughter is growing up a bit, it doesn’t mean they don’t need you at all. Food on campus tends to be on the expensive side and college kids seem to learn very quickly that they will love free food.
Another thing is that all college students do not own a vehicle, which can make grocery shopping a hassle. Here are a few ideas of some items you can pack and send to your son or daughter while they’re away at college.
Keep in mind, you can always call up your kid and simply ask them what they need.
